20 Acre Fire Threatens Homes and a School in Colorado Springs, CO on March 29, 2016

On Tuesday, March 29, 2016, a 20 acre grass fire spread rapidly threatening hundreds of residents in homes and apartments. Nazarene Bible College was also threatened as flames reached the parking lot of the college, just a few yards from nearby buildings. The fire burned near the intersection of S Academy Blvd and Fountain Blvd. Multiple fire stations were dispatched to the fire, which took over an hour to bring under control. Luckily no injuries or building damage was reported, although flames did burn several fences surrounding nearby homes.
