Hail Storm Aftermath – May 7, 2015 – Colorado Springs, CO

This is the aftermath of a hail storm that left 8 inches of hail on the road and shut down I-25 and numerous side roads for hours until snow plows could come through and clear the roads. The piles of hail you see on the side of the road took 2 days to melt. This video was recorded about 5 hours after the hail fell. This video was recorded while driving south on I-25 near Academy Blvd in Colorado Springs, CO on Thursday, May 7th, 2015.
