Driving south on I-25 on Saturday, May 9th, 2015. I was trying to catch up with a tornado that had just touched down in Hanover, CO. Suddenly a large amount of pea sized hail came down and covered the road. I estimate about 6″ of hail was on the road.
A scary wall cloud developed over Colorado Springs, CO today. This wall cloud occurred during a tornado watch, and on a day where the Storm Prediction Center had Colorado Springs at an enhanced risk of tornadoes. There were false reports of funnel clouds associated with this storm, but luckily no tornadoes touched down.
A snow storm hit Colorado on November 22, 2019 dumping up to 2 feet of snow in certain parts of the state. This video shows the carnage from Colorado Springs. Numerous vehicles were stuck and slid off the road. One van even flipped over when it hit the ditch.
